FILM + TV + INTERACTIVE
DIRECTOR: Reed Morano
CINEMATOGRAPHER: Colin Watkinson
Reunited with Richard J. Lewis, and acquainted with Fred Toye, I was brought on to board Designated Survivor. Both talented directors were fresh off WestWorld, and working together now in Toronto. Many thanks to Producer Hilbert Hakim, who went above and beyond (and still does), to get me back with each technically difficult episode. Truly a lovely blend of caring, compassionate, professionals who have taught me so much in so little time.

I had the tremendous pleasure of teaming up with big time Producer + Director, Richard J. Lewis and his talented Ex-X-Files Producer, Frank Spotnitz. As memory serves me, it was a hot late June afternoon when Director Craig Goodwill (who years before, was the brave soul to hire me for my very first professional storyboard gig) gave me a call, urgently requesting my services. Before I knew it I was running around Toronto with Richard; meticulously going through the action sequences, beat by beat, for episode 1 of Ransom. I was hired back on for all sequential episodes requiring complex planning before the film crew left for France to finish off the series. Above is a photograph of Richard atop a Yorkville parking lot describing a scene in detail, with my storyboards printed and posted up behind him.
I was asked to produce some Key Frames for a Murdoch Mysteries Web Series. Shaftesbury Films + Smoke Bomb, who I have worked with extensively in the past, let me take the reigns on this to some degree, offering me more than the usual amount of creative liberties.
Having previously storyboarded the entire 8 Episode TV Series of Slasher around the Fall of 2015, I was asked back the following year to develop some Key Frames for an interactive Oculus Rift expansion of the Slasher Universe. I still remember when I went to the Shaftesbury + Smoke Bomb Production Office, when it was still on Queen East, how awesome it was to try out the VR Experience. The modelling team did an outstanding job of taking my concepts and translating them into a 3D environment. I never would have thought the day would come when I got to walk around inside one of my drawings - I was speechless.
Jump into a world of intrigue and wonder. You play as Trevor, the hero, a time hopping collector of ancient artifacts. This interactive VR game was designed to counter the player's level of energy. Soothing those who are hyperactive, and cultivating a level of excitement for people that need a boost. A wonderful new and innovative VR therapy produced by the great and creative folks at Shaftesbury Films. This was my second job on an interactive VR experience, and I had a blast fleshing out these concepts.
